Genos EI Policy, Inventories, and Application Forms
Genos has generated a revised research policy document which can now be downloaded:Briefly, the document describes the distinction between 'academic research' and 'professional research'. The policy document also describes the three different versions of Genos EI that can be used for research purposes:
- Genos EI Full Inventory (70 items)
- Genos EI Concise Inventory (31 items)
- Genos EI Short Inventory (14 items)
There is no requirement to complete an application form to use the Genos EI Short Inventory. Commercial use of the Genos EI Short Inventory is strickly prohibited. It was developed for non-commercial research purposes only. Psychometric information on all three Genos EI versions can be read in Palmer, Stough, Harmer, & Gignac (in press). Information on how to score the Genos EI Short Inventory is also provided in Palmer et al (in press).
More complete psychometric information on the Genos EI Inventory (Full Version) is documented in the Genos EI Inventory Technical Manual (Gignac, 2008). In contrast to the Genos EI Short Inventory, the Genos EI Concise and Full versions can be potentially made available free of charge for academic research, subject to having the application form below accepted by the Genos Director of Research.
